A useful current affairs note distinguishes the event from the underlying concept. For example, an inflation release can help you revise a price index, while an official environmental update may connect to conservation or a protected area.
Every brief should show its source publication date, explain its syllabus connection and separate facts from analysis. Numbers, appointments and policies need a current primary source; old information should not be labelled as the latest update.
