Use the official paper archive.
Previous year questions help you study how UPSC frames statements, tests concepts and asks for inferences. Download Civil Services Preliminary Examination General Studies Paper I and General Studies Paper II (CSAT) from the official archive.

A useful PYQ review method
- Attempt a paper without reading the answer first. Record the reasoning behind uncertain choices.
- Classify questions by subject and concept, then revisit the relevant primary source.
- Check the official UPSC answer key when available. Distinguish a verified key from an unofficial solution.
- Review why each incorrect option fails, not just why the correct option works.
Practise selected PYQs with fresh explanations.
Practise clearly labelled adaptations of official UPSC GS and CSAT questions. Each identifies its source paper and includes a newly written explanation in English and Hindi. Adaptations may clarify wording or focus on a tested concept; the linked official PDF remains the reference for the original question. The year selector stays on UPSCPrelims.in and offers GS and CSAT. A full timed year paper is enabled only after its original questions and answer key are verified; reviewed PYQ practice is separate.
